If a recall fails, the patients' tiles will stay yellow instead of turning white. When you click on "view" to view the patient's recalls then you'll see a red error message.

If any part of the recall fails (e.g. the blood forms or the SMS) then the entire process is cancelled. So the patient will never receive an SMS without a blood form, and blood forms will never be created without an SMS.
